What Is Clomid
Clomid and Nolvadex are the two most popular post cycle therapy (PCT) drugs used after cycles of both SARMs and anabolic steroids.
Now I don’t want to get into the whole anabolic steroid thing in this Clomid PCT guide, because steroids are evil on the body, and have caused a lot of deaths.
So I’m talking about how I use Clomid as a post cycle therapy treatment after a cycle of SARMs.
We will discuss what Clomid actually is. I’ve seen it inaccurately described on some of the biggest bodybuilding websites, who should know better, that it’s a synthetic form of estrogen. That’s nonsense.
So I’ll clear up the confusion by telling you what Clomid is, how to use it as a post cycle therapy treatment for SARMs, with dosage instructions, side-effect warnings, and I’ll tell you exactly where to buy Clomid online that safe to use.
Using Clomid As A PCT Supplement For SARMs
Clomid (Clomiphene Sultrate) is actually FDA approved. But it’s only FDA approved for dealing with fertility problems in females. Which means it’s completely unregulated for use as a bodybuilding post cycle therapy supplement.
Also, how can you use Clomid as a man, to recover your testosterone levels?
Well, SARMs can be suppressive to testosterone. Some people will try and tell you that they aren’t, but most of them are, especially at higher doses.
I think some people get confused because some SARMs aren’t actually SARMs at all. GW-501516, for example, is not a selective androgen receptor modulator at all, it’s a delta agonist. Plus, the weaker SARMs like Ostarine, at low doses, aren’t usually suppressive.
But let me tell you if you’re going to use most SARMs, especially stacked, then you are going to get some testosterone suppression, which is why PCT treatments like Nolvadex and Clomid come into play.
Estrogen suppresses LH and FSH production, two types of hormone that help to produce testosterone. When you take Clomid, it stops estrogen from interacting with the pituitary gland. This allows more production of the hormones which can help to increase testosterone production.
How Do I Know If I Need Clomid PCT?
I’ll be honest, it was pretty obvious to me when I needed to use a PCT supplement. But you do need to be aware of the signals that you are suffering a drop in testosterone levels so that you don’t get so suppressed that it has long-lasting effects:
- Increased breast tissue (Gynecomastia, or “gyno”)
- Decreased sperm count
- Decreased libido
- Erectile dysfunction
- Shrunken testicles
- Mood swings
- Low energy levels
So as you can see, testosterone suppression, sometimes just called “gyno” by bodybuilders, has a range of far-reaching problems of it’s not addressed.
The man breasts thing is serious. People take it as a joke, but once the tissue starts to seriously develop, it won’t go away, you are literally growing breasts. So you have to make sure you use post cycle therapy supplements to prevent this disaster from happening. This is why using Clomid for bodybuilding recovery is such a crucial thing to understand.
How To Take Clomid PCT
If you want to experiment with Clomid as a PCT, then the easiest way to do so is to buy Clomid tablets.
I’ll tell you where you can buy them later, but you just pop one in your mouth every morning and swallow with some water. That’s it.
You can also get Clomid liquid. That’s slightly more difficult to dose precisely though. The reason is that liquids will be dosed at a certain amount of milligrams of Clomid per milliliter. So you’re going to need to find something which measures 1 mL, as a 5 mL teaspoon will be far too large a dose.
So the easiest way I found to take Clomid as a PCT supplement is to simply buy it in pill form. It’s cheap, and because of its long half-life, you just need to take one each day, first thing in the morning with water.
Clomid PCT Dosage Instructions
Now here’s the thing, there are no exact Clomid PCT dosage guidelines out there. That’s because it’s designed to be used by females to provoke ovulation.
So there are no Clomid for bodybuilding dose instructions that are the gold standard. You can also get confused because a lot of the Clomid PCT dosage instructions online relate to anabolic steroid use recovery. For aggressive steroids, minimum doses of 100 mg per day are often routinely taken. But SARMs aren’t anywhere near as suppressive as anabolic steroids.
It’s all going to come down to using a baseline dose and then moving up or down depending on results. Plus the stronger the SARMs, or the more you have stacked, will define the strength of the dose to try and counter testosterone production suppression.
So looking at Clomid PCT dosage, for women using it as a fertility treatment, doses are usually 100 mg, or even higher, per day. Sometimes you will see women routinely taking 250 mg. But that’s only being taken over about five days at a certain time of the month.
So you need to be looking at a much lower dose if you are using Clomid as a post cycle therapy recovery supplement.
For me, 50 mg per day is a good starting dose. Do that for a week, and if you’re feeling better, stick to 50 mg for the second week. If you’re feeling even better, drop the dose to 25 mg for the following two weeks.
If you’re feeling really suppressed after an aggressive SARM like testolone and demonstrating lots of symptoms, then you could up the dose to 75 mg or even 100 mg for the first week only. Make sure you drop back to 50 mg as quickly as possible.
I always do a Clomid post cycle therapy course of four weeks in length. I usually do 8-10 weeks on SARMs, depending on the strength of them. After PCT, I take a break equal to the length of the SARMs course and the PCT course combined.
Femara Vs Clomid
Some people use Femara instead of Clomid as a PCT. It’s another fertility treatment.
However, in a straight-up Femara Vs Clomid fight, I wouldn’t choose Femara as the winner. Not because it doesn’t work, it’s just as good as Clomid, but because of the side effects.
I’ll talk more about Clomid side effects in a moment. But you could get more serious side effects as a man using Femara. Not to say you definitely will, but there is more risk than if you are using Clomid.
Femara can cause chest pain, increased cholesterol levels, and most importantly, with prolonged use, it can decrease bone density. That increases the risk of fractures and could lead to osteoporosis. You just don’t have those concerns using Clomid.
Clomid Side Effects
So now we’ve ruled out Femara as a safe alternative to Clomid, what exactly are the Clomid side effects you have to watch out for, and does the Clomid PCT dosage affect the severity and scope of the side effects?
Well, in terms of what the side effects are that you need to watch out for, they are usually:
- Upset stomach
- Hot flushes
- Disturbed vision
But you have to remember that you won’t get all of those unless you are really unlucky, and you are unlikely to unless you’re taking a very high dose. At the lower doses, we are talking about, around 50 mg, you might feel a bit sick and have a headache for a few hours, but that’s about it.
The bottom line is that using Clomid for bodybuilding, as a post cycle therapy treatment, is incredibly safe.
