I Tested Quick Fix 6.2 Synthetic Urine At A Labcorp Urine Test

Spectrum Labs Quick Fix is one of the most popular brands of synthetic urine. But some people are saying that Quick Fix Plus failed them. So I thought I’d use my experiences to write a proper guide, to tell you the truth.

So what is the deal with Quick Fix fake urine? Is it good enough to pass even a basic drug test now?

Well, I’ve had plenty of experiences with synthetic urine, passing drug tests, and networking with people who have.

I’m going to tell you what’s in it, what to watch out for to stop Quick Fix Plus failing, and also whether there are better alternatives out there, that you should be buying instead.

About Quick Fix Synthetic Urine

It has been around for a long time, and it’s always been one of the most popular brands of synthetic urine out there. The latest formula is 6.2, which is reassuring because it shows that it is updated regularly to keep up with the latest information about drug testing standards.

There are actually two versions of the same product, which is where people get confused. Quick fix 6.2 is available in a 2oz size, and a 3oz size. The larger one is called Quick Fix Plus. Some people think it’s a better quality of synthetic urine. That’s not the case, the plus literally refers to the fact that you are getting more synthetic urine.

What Is In The Formula?

Quick Fix does a good job of mimicking human urine. It contains most of the basic composition markers that a lab would look for:

  • Urea
  • Correct pH range
  • Correct specific gravity
  • creatinine

There’s only one synthetic urine on the market right now that has more chemical markers that could be checked for, and that’s Sub Solution, which has 13. That’s why Quick Fix is a perfect, low-cost solution for basic pre-employment drug tests. But there are questions around Quick Fix Plus failing for more complex drug tests.

How To Use Quick Fix Urine: Step By Step

Although the instructions to use Quick Fix Plus synthetic urine are quite straightforward, it helps to know them in detail, so that you stand the best chance of keeping your sample at the right temperature.

  • First, you should get the heat pad out and activate it a little in advance of preparing the sample. That’s because it could take some time, maybe only 10 minutes, to start heating up enough to keep the sample at the right temperature. What you don’t want is to get the sample at the right temperature, and then put it against a cold heat pad.
  • You’ll only need to microwave the bottle of Quick Fix for about 10 seconds usually. Shake it really gently, and look at the strip on the side, and check that it is within the right temperature range.
  • If you can’t see a reading, or it’s too cold, microwave it for another few seconds until it gets into the right temperature range on the strip.
  • Be careful here of overheating the sample. If you overheat it, it won’t show a reading, because it will be above 100°F, the top of the temperature strip reading scale. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s too cold, and then microwave it again. If need be, put the sample container against your wrist, or on your cheek, any sensitive skin, to feel the warmth.
  • Then all you have to do is strap the warm sample to the heat pad, and then monitor the temperature to make sure it stays within the temperature range for about three minutes.
  • Then pop it in your underwear, and head off to the lab to submit your sample. It’s best in your underwear, both for security and stability, and also because it will keep the sample closest to body temperature. Also, they are not going to search for your groin area.

When you submit the sample, obviously check the temperature strip again. If it’s too cold, panic. But shake it gently first, to distribute the heat evenly. Think on your feet if it is too cold, if you’re in a separate toilet cubicle, run it under the hot tap to try to get the temperature up. If not, squeeze it between your thighs to try and get the temperature up

As long as the sample is between 90°F and 100°F, the legal temperature range for a valid sample, then all you have to do is pour it into the sample container and hand it over as quickly as possible.

Has Quick Fix Plus Failed People?

Now one of the key things is around people saying that Quick Fix Plus failed them a drug test.

It’s perfectly possible for someone to fail because Quick Fix hasn’t got the most complex formula. However, I’ve known tons of people who have passed using Quick Fix. I’ve also passed a simple pre-employment drug test using it.

So it could be that the people who are failing, are up against more complex validity checking standards. You see, your basic employment drug test is dirt cheap, but you can pay for more advanced testing, which has more checks, and also they then the look for more types of drug metabolites.

But what I suspect is, that the main reason people could be failing using Quick Fix synthetic urine is the temperature of the sample is wrong. Human urine is usually between 96°F and 100°F. Legally, a lab has to take the sample if it is between 90°F and 100°F.

But my concern is, that it comes with a heat pad. You need to use warm water, or a microwave, and then the heat pad, to get the liquid within that range of human urine temperature, and keep it there.

If you don’t do that properly, because of where you store it on your person, or even what you’re wearing, then the sample could grow outside that range. Imagine you are in New York in January, when the weather can drop to incredibly cold levels, and you’re wandering along to a drug test, with the heat pad being overwhelmed by the surrounding temperature.

So because of its slightly more basic formula than Sub Solution, Quick Fix Plus failing could be down to advanced lab testing, or it could simply be down to people not being rigorous with keeping the sample at the right temperature.

The other problem is that all synthetic urine has some non-natural chemicals in it. Because the labs are getting smarter, especially with more expensive drug tests, they can potentially now check for the presence of some of these non-natural chemicals during validity checking. I’m not saying Quick Fix has a problem with this, I haven’t heard anything about that, but it is a possibility.

Could Labs Spot Quick Fix Urine?

Good synthetic urine needs to look, smell, and froths like real human urine. The good brands do this, which is why they are rarely picked up by lab technicians visually inspecting them. However, there is some anecdotal evidence that some labs, where the technicians are a bit more switched on, have noticed something about Quick Fix.

For example, there is a video on YouTube, where a real lab assistant shows you how to detect fake urine. In the YouTube video, he mentioned that Quick Fix has a slightly greenish color, which looks unnatural if put up against human urine.

Now obviously that’s a concern, but on the other side of that, most lab assistants, especially for really cheap pre-employment tests, really don’t care about looking at it that much, or smelling it.

But if you really don’t want to take any risk at all, then you might want to upgrade from Quick Fix to the next level of synthetic urine.

Do Not Buy Quick Fix From These Shops

The problem with good brands of synthetic urine like Quick Fix is that buying it can be a bit of a minefield. Knowing where to buy Quick Fix synthetic urine is a problem, because unless order from just a few trustworthy retailers, you can get fakes, or product that is expired.

So I guess my advice to you, is never to buy Quick Fix, or any other type of drug test avoidance product, from generic marketplaces like eBay, or Amazon. Because of the volume, people can box up cheap synthetic urine in fake Quick Fix boxes, sell loads on Amazon before they get found out, and make a lot of money.

This is another reason why Quick Fix could fail. People are moaning on the Internet that Quick Fix Plus failed them, but the truth is that they had fake Quick Fix, or they didn’t realize it was out of date.

Buy It From Authorised Retailer

Look, when it comes to telling you where to buy Quick Fix urine, I only by it from one online store, and that’s quickfixsynthetic. They are an authorized reseller, and you know you are getting the real deal, and that it’s going to be fresh

I’ve bought it from these guys twice and recommended them to my friends, and it’s always been delivered quickly, and it’s proper Quick Fix.

They are also doing a buy three, get one free deal right now. So it’s a great time to grab yourself a bit of a bargain while protecting yourself against getting caught out from drug testing at the same time. If you want to buy Quick Fix urine, it’s definitely a great deal.

Alternatives& Final Thoughts

I really want to close this guide, by talking about alternatives to Quick Fix.

As I’ve explained, there has been some concern about how Quick Fix Plus failed some people. Although I think those concerns are overblown, and it is still a very good quality synthetic urine. I would certainly use it and recommend it for a basic urine sample drug test.

But I would be wrong to just finish this article with a positive conclusion, without mentioning too that there are better alternatives out there.

The alternatives are better are from a company called Clear Choice. Sub Solution is the number one selling brand of synthetic urine. It’s twice the price of Quick Fix, but it is by far the most complex formula on the market.

Sub Solution reviews

It has 13 chemical markers that could be looked for during validity testing, and it looks, and smells, just like the real thing. You literally would not be able to tell the difference. They also now do an upgraded version of Sub Solution, called Quick Luck. That’s slightly more expensive than Sub Solution, putting it more than double the price of Quick Fix.

Both Sub Solution and Quick Luck also get around the problem about a failing heat pad, as I talked about earlier in this review of Quick Fix urine.

Both of these premium brands of synthetic urine use a heat activator powder. It’s literally powder that you agitate in liquid, and it increases the heat.

So all you need is some lukewarm water and the heat activator powder. So you can mix this stuff up in a public toilet, or anywhere to be honest. You could even use cold water, you just need more heat activator powder.

Which makes it perfect. You don’t have to worry about the heat pad failing. And when you’re standing outside the testing lab, you can literally look at the temperature strip, and if it’s getting cold, add a little more heat activator powder in, to get it within the human urine temperature range.

For detailed info, check out my Sub Solution synthetic urine review.

So there you go, Quick Fix is perfectly acceptable synthetic urine, and my conclusion in this Quick Fix review is that it’s well worth buying for basic drug testing. But if you want extra insurance, buy Sub Solution.
