PT-141 has been getting a lot of press recently because it’s been referred to as “the sex peptide”, which has obviously turned a lot of heads because of the salacious implications.
What I’m going to do here is tell you everything you need to know about this peptide. I’ll tell you exactly what a peptide is, and how they work. I’ll also talk to you about using PT-141 as both a man and a woman. What are the benefits, what are the effects you can expect and are there any problems using it? I’ll also cover how it works in relation to Viagra and other sexual health supplements, and if you can use it as a bodybuilding supplement.
On top of all that, we will discuss PT-141 peptide dosage, how it compares to Cialis, and finish by telling you where you can buy PT-141 at the best price.
Let’s Talk About PT-141 And What It Actually Is
PT-141 is often billed as an alternative to Viagra, or more generally is an alternative to sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra).
“The sex peptide” is therefore often thought of as merely an alternative to Viagra that could be slightly cheaper to use, if slightly more problematic to dose.
However, it’s nothing like Viagra. I’ll tell you how it works in a moment, but it simply is incomparable.
It doesn’t work by stimulating blood flow to the genitalia, and bizarrely, as I explained in a little while, it was actually used initially to try and help people who have problems with hair and skin pigmentation.
PT-141 For Men: Can It Work As A Bodybuilding Supplement?
Before we continue this guide, I want to tell you about using the PT-141 peptide as a bodybuilding supplement.
I want to clear this confusion up. It’s not a bodybuilding supplement.
The reason people think it is can be attributed to the fact that it’s available on peptide website. Most peptides help with bodybuilding, but PT-141 is a peptide that is not going to give you any physical benefits.
Some sites trying to sell you PT-141 will claim that it can build muscle tissue. However, there’s not a single shred of study evidence in animals or humans to support that claim.
Plus, this stuff makes you horny. Do you really want to be down the gym with a stalking great erection?
How The PT-141 Peptide Works
Viagra is a PDES inhibitor. That allows the widening of blood vessels and improved blood flow. It’s not just been found to be good for sexual enhancement either, Viagra is now being trialed for heart conditions and other situations where increased blood flow and oxygen and needed.
PT-141 works by stimulating the melanocortin receptors. That’s right, those the receptors that deal with pigmentation of the skin and hair.
This is a bit of a strange story. During clinical trials to find out how it could help with darkening skin pigmentation, this peptide was found to have unwanted, or perhaps wanted, side effects. Both men and women started to report they were feeling highly sexually driven and aroused.
The higher the dose, the more aroused and hornier these people were getting. Evidently this meant that as a solution for people with skin pigmentation problems, it was a nonstarter.
PT-141 is actually a synthetic peptide. It’s an analog of something called alpha-MSH. So a peptide is a synthetic substance. Basically, the essential piece of the short-chain amino acid is extracted and sequenced. It is then artificially created.
MSH is a melanocyte. In the body, melanogenesis is how we get our skin and hair coloring. This is how new skin is pigmented, and how it’s maintained.
But it was also found in the studies to have a role in regulating hunger and our desire to eat. Plus, and this is the crucial point, it was found to stimulate sexual desire.
It’s thought that it’s why we feel more aroused in the summer. Exposure to the sun raises levels of MSH, which makes us more aroused. So it stands to reason that by supercharging levels of this in the body, we will get even hornier.
Put all that together, and what you’ve got is an artificial peptide that is a potent agonist of the melanocortin receptors, delivering significant potential benefits.
PT-141 Vs Viagra
Viagra will get you hard. With stimulation, it works a treat. But it won’t make you hornier. PT-141 works in another way. It deals with emotional arousal. That’s why people “felt horny”, rather than just being more physically aroused.
So if you can’t get hard then take viagra. If you don’t feel horny, then PT-141 could be a better option for you.
Can Women Use PT-141 Bremelanotide?
In the trials I mentioned where PT-141 was being researched as a treatment for poor skin pigmentation, women did also report getting aroused. However, it’s not recommended that women take this peptide. I’m not sure why that is considering they were 50% of the people in the trials I’ve just mentioned.
But looking online, it’s obvious men and women both use this sex peptide to great effect.
It feels to me that just like they say women shouldn’t take Viagra, that advice is being automatically pasted into the idea of using PT-141.
If you’re a woman, by all means give this a go. Just make sure you keep your dosage low so that you can see what effect it has on you in a controlled way.
What Is The Correct Dosage For PT-141
Let’s turn now to the correct dosage for PT-141 to be used. Unfortunately, because it’s not ever been research as a human sex aid there is no correct dosage advice.
For the trials I mentioned around dealing with skin problems, around 1 mg was a typical daily dose. The ceiling I saw was 2 mg per day in one test group. However, other recommendations talk about an upper dose limit of 1500 mg, so I would call that a sensible maximum high dose to consider experimenting with once you are experienced at lower doses.
Also, be aware that this has a long half life and you’ll notice the effects as long as eight hours at around 1 mg.
In terms of how to take a dose of this peptide, you can use nasal sprays and pills. However, both of these have been found to have more chance of side effects, specifically elevating blood pressure.
That’s why most people use it as an injectable.
Don’t worry, you can do it as a subcutaneous injection. That’s where you pinch the skin and gently push the needle under. You’re not directly injecting into veins or muscle tissue.
PT-141 Side Effects To Watch Out For
You may have already guessed what the main side effect can be. Because it is a full agonist of the melanocortin receptors, it can darken your skin and hair with prolonged and repeated use.
Also, some people reported a rise in blood pressure. Only by around 6mmHg, but enough for you to need to be aware of that fact. If you have high blood pressure I wouldn’t recommend you use it.
But generally, as long as you are sensible with dosage and the number of times you use it, then very few problems seem to be reported amongst recreational users.
PT-141 & Cialis
Cialis works in exactly the same way as Viagra. It’s just a variant of the same type of chemical. So if you buy it, you get another form of Viagra.
So it works in a completely different way to PT-141, which as we now know, works as an agonist of the melanocortin receptors and stimulates sexual arousal in the brain rather than physically.
Let’s just take a look at the differences between them.
PT-141 traits:
- Makes you feel physically aroused
- Enhances mental arousal
- Long duration
- Calming
- Regulates appetite
Now let’s look at the positive traits of Cialis:
- Pushes blood to the genital region
- Manageable mid-term duration
So overall, PT-141 has more positive traits, and it’s a more fully encompassing chemical in terms of the effects it produces.
Where To Buy This Sexually Dynamic Peptide
The conclusion of my review here is that this is a potent peptide for sexual arousal in both men and women. It doesn’t just get you physically ready for sex; it makes you actually want to have sex as well. That makes you begin to prepare physically as well. So it comes at you from both angles in a way that Viagra simply can’t.
Also, another factor I want to mention here in my summary is that it doesn’t meaningfully interact with alcohol. That means drinking while you use this won’t cause any issues. But obviously, alcohol diminishes physical and mental sexual performance.
On the downside, PT-141 has to be injected. Only under the skin, and as long as you aren’t squeamish anyone can do it in 30 seconds. Just be clean by using alcohol wipes before and after, and always use a fresh needle even if sharing with your partner.
In terms of finding where to buy good quality PT-141 peptide, I would recommend you buy it from Swiss Chems.
I’ve had a long and positive track record of buying from them, and I’ve never been let down on quality or price.
A 10 mg injectable vial costs $31.95. Now obviously you won’t use all that in one go, and you should only dose once per day.
Also, note that you’re getting a powder that needs to be reconstituted with BAC water. After reconstitution, they can be kept in a refrigerator for up to 2 days safely. So this single vial costing $31.95 can give you and a partner three good experiences.
