How To Make Fake Urine At Home [DIY Synthetic Urine]

So you’re up for a drug test, and you don’t want to be spending a lot of money on buying synthetic urine. Surely you can learn how to make fake pee for virtually nothing? It’s just basically children’s chemistry lesson ingredients and processes?

Well, let’s see how true all that is. I’m going to tell you how to make fake pee for a drug test, including an exact recipe for making fake urine at home.

Plus, I’ll tell you how likely DIY synthetic urine is to pass a drug test when stacked up against professional quality synthetic urine products. I’ll also reveal the main reason people fail a drug test using synthetic urine, and offer you an alternative to making your own DIY synthetic urine.

Why Make DIY Synthetic Urine?

The most obvious reason to learn about making fake urine at home is to save money. It must be cheaper to buy all the ingredients, mix them together and then go and submit your sample than to buy expensive fake urine of the Internet?

Or perhaps it’s about control for you. If you know what you’re putting in it, you know you’re not going to get caught out. Some brands of synthetic urine contain biocide, an artificial preservative that can be spotted by drug testing labs, so by making your own, you’ll know it’s not in it.

So there are several reasons why you would want to know how to make fake pee for drug test success, but how exactly do you do it?

How To Make Fake Pee For A Drug Test

The process of making fake pee for a drug test is pretty straightforward, as long as you can get your hands on the following ingredients:

  • Distilled water
  • Sodium chloride
  • Bovine or egg albumin powder
  • Potassium chloride
  • Sodium phosphate
  • Urea
  • creatinine

You’ll also need a very clean bottle to store in (you’ll need some sterilizing tablets or liquid to make sure it’s clean). Plus, you’ll need a lab grade container for mixing, a pH meter, or at the very least pH indicator paper, and a urinometer. On top of all that, you will need a very accurate microscale.

Instructions for making DIY synthetic urine are as follows:

  1. Put 750 mL of distilled water into your mixing container.
  2. You will then need to put exactly 18.2 g of Urea into the container, and mix it thoroughly until it has completely dissolved all its crystals.
  3. Add 7.5 g of sodium chloride, 4.5 g of potassium chloride, and 4.8 g of sodium phosphate and mix until dissolved.
  4. Check the pH using paper, or for more accurate results a proper digital pH meter. The pH should be between 5 and 7 to most closely mimic human urine.
  5. You should also have a specific gravity of around 1.025. This can be measured in a variety of ways, but a urinometer is the most accurate way.
  6. Add 2 g of creatinine and 50 mg of albumin powder and gently mix that in as well. If you don’t want to use it immediately, don’t put these in. Chill the solution, and add these in just before you warm it up.

Should You Bother Making Fake Urine At Home?

Now that all sounds wonderfully easy. But you have to get everything absolutely spot on. Plus, if things aren’t sterile, it can get bacteria in it, and be ruined before you submit it.

Me? I certainly wouldn’t go to all that trouble and take the risk of submitting a home-made sample to a professional lab technician.

Plus, look at the costs. You can’t just pick up tiny amounts of this stuff. You need to buy containers of each, plus the specialist equipment you’ll need. I worked out it would cost nearly 4 times as much to make a batch of DIY synthetic urine, as it would to just buy a box of the top brand of ready-made synthetic urine on the market.

Why People Fail Urine Drug Tests

Even if you make the perfect synthetic urine, it’s going to cost you a lot more than buying high-quality, ready-made synthetic urine. Plus, you’ve still got to overcome the biggest reason why people fail a urine sample drug test.

Human urine exits the body at between 96°F and 100°F. Legally, a sample has to be between 90°F and 100°F be accepted by the lab. So you only have a 10° margin of error.

So not only do you need the synthetic urine to be spot-on chemically, but it’s got to be at the correct temperature. Which means an exceptionally good heat pad, or some other way of keeping the temperature static for an hour, often much longer than that.

Recommended Fake Pee That Works

Sub Solution reviewsPutting all that together, I just don’t see why you would want to know how to make fake pee. Making fake urine at home might be fun, but the chances of you getting the formula completely right, and fooling a lab, is not great.

Then you have to overcome the problem of getting hold of something to keep the temperature right while you travel to the lab and submit the sample. To me, that’s all just a massive pain in the butt.

I would just use Sub Solution instead. It costs $80, but it’s the most complex brand of synthetic urine on the market.

Sub Solution contains 13 chemical markers, which means it does everything that the recipe I’ve just given you does, and more. Plus, unlike DIY synthetic urine, it comes with heat activator powder.

You can use the heat activator powder without a microwave, you put a third in, agitate the liquid, and it should get the sample to within the right temperature range in about two minutes.

When you get to the lab, you can simply check the temperature, and add more heat activator powder if the sample has cooled. You can’t do that if you’ve made yourself unless you can source some heat activator powder from somewhere, and I haven’t managed to find any.

If you’re on a budget, you could go for Quick Fix 6.2. That’s only $40, half the price of Sub Solution, but it still complex enough to pass a pre-employment drug test. If you can’t get Quick Fix, the third choice is Monkey Whizz. Silly name, great synthetic urine, and again, about $40.

So there you go, I wouldn’t bother learning how to make fake pee for a drug test when for $80 you can buy a formula that is perfectly balanced, doesn’t contain artificial preservatives, and contains heat activator powder, meaning you don’t even need a microwave and heat pad.
