I found out, and in this guide, I’m going to share with you everything you need to know, including the best places to buy pure kratom online.
How Kratom Can Help With Pain Management
Kratom is an amazingly versatile substance. So many people now are using it, and once you’ve been on the journey to discover the best kratom for pain management for your own needs, it really can be transformational.
When we’re talking about kratom for pain and anxiety, we’re talking about physical and emotional pain. That’s why kratom is so fantastic because it can target both of these negative things in a mild way.
There are a wide range of conditions, both physical, and mental that kratom can help with:
- Social anxiety
- Stress
- Trauma
- PTSD
- Alcohol and drug withdrawal
- physical pain like back pain
So as you can see, kratom has a wide range of applications, due to the fact that it can relax us physically and mentally, and has pain-relieving qualities.
But better than that, it can also lift you. It’s not all about numbing you or anesthetizing you, kratom can lift you physically and emotionally, giving you energy, focus, positivity, and even euphoria.
I suffered from a bad back for a year, and pharmaceutical painkillers had a load of side-effects that crippled me even more emotionally. I used kratom a bit anyway, and I realized that replacing the painkillers with it was helping more, so I started really experimenting with the best kratom for pain management.
If you’re in the same boat, then I would suggest gently experimenting with kratom, especially red vein kratom, could be really helpful. For a low price, you can get a red kratom variety pack. You will have about six strains of red kratom in it, giving you the opportunity to find which one works best to minimize your physical pain.
Best Kratom For Pain Management?
Trying to answer the question around what the best strain for pain management is, can be incredibly difficult. It’s difficult because everyone will be different. Everyone’s pain profile is an individual.
In terms of using kratom generally, you have to take a large number of factors into account:
- Your weight
- Emotional health
- Physical health
- Metabolism
- Eating habits
- Type of pain management you need
- Quality of kratom
Before I talk specifically about the best kratom strains I found, generally, I would suggest red kratom is the place to start.
Nearly every strain of red kratom is weighed very heavily towards analgesia and sedation. The higher the dose, the more relaxed, and the higher the pain relief will be. On top of that, until you get to a very high dose, you will still retain focus, energy, and positivity.
It’s also perfect for the withdrawal symptom pains of narcotics, things like opiate withdrawal symptoms, and alcohol. It can chill you out, make you feel you are in a good place, and take away the physical and emotional pain very well.
Using Maeng Da Kratom For Treating Pain
When I was looking for kratom for pain management, through trial and error, and several trial packs from different reputable kratom vendors, I realized that using Red Maeng Da kratom works best for me.
I found that using Red Maeng Da kratom for pain had the following fantastic benefits which transformed my life:
- Analgesia, which relieves physical pain symptoms and muscle aches. That obviously also boosts your mood.
- It’s a mood booster. A moderate dose of Red Maeng Da kratom for pain lifted my mood no end. I felt positive and was looking forward to the day.
- Red Maeng Da can boost your energy levels as well. It’s a stimulant, but a gentle one. And it stimulates your body and energy levels over several hours. That’s why it is used in Asia by workers in the fields, it’s calming, so they don’t get frustrated with the physical, repetitive work, but it improves energy and productivity.
- I found cognitive improvement. I could think quicker, faster, better. Part of that was being able to move about without physical pain, but kratom definitely sharpens up your mind.
The downside is if you have to take a high-dose of red kratom to cope with pain, then it can be detrimental to cognitive abilities. But at normal dose levels, it works brilliantly.
Best 3 Kratom Strains For Chronic Pain
So look, I found the strains of red kratom that were the best kratom for pain management for my needs. But that might be different for you.
To help you, I’m highlighting here the three strains of red kratom that were best for pain management for me, out of all the red strains I tried, and I tried them all over the space of a year.
Red Maeng Da
As I’ve just said, I found Red Maeng Da to be the best kratom for pain relief. It’s very strong, as long as you get good quality kratom, so you don’t need a large dose to get the benefits.
I always buy my Red Maeng Da from The Evergreen Tree, because for me they sell the ultimate kratom powder. But there are other seller options for everything I’m going to tell you about at the end of this guide.
Red Bali
For me, another great red kratom strain that I found to be fantastic for pain management purposes, was Red Bali. This kratom strain is very similar to other reds, in that it offers pain relief, relaxation, mood improvement, and energy boost, plus increased focus. At least that lower doses. At higher doses, it also tends towards strong sedation.
Red Bali is also a red kratom that tends towards energizing at lower doses, rather than sedating. So because it stimulating, it’s great for lifting you out the misery of pain. I was very careful about the dose, and I had good quality red Bali kratom. I think it’s a great starting point because its effects are quite mild and balanced.
Red Borneo
Red Borneo was a funny one for me. It’s slightly more potent than red Bali, I found, although incredibly similar in its range of effects. It has analgesia, sedation, plus it can give your mood boost, and an energy boost.
In terms of being the best for pain relief, it’s right up there. But I didn’t find it was an immediate hit, I found red Borneo to be a bit of a slow burner.
That’s not a bad thing, as it’s quite long-lasting, but you won’t get that hit of relief from your pain symptoms in the same way, or that was my experience anyway. But for several hours, you will definitely feel less in pain, and more chilled out.
Using Kratom For Anxiety Relief
Anxiety can be horrendous. I know, I’ve suffered from it for several years. It took me a while to realize it was anxiety that was causing the problems. I was worried about going out, worried about talking to people, worried about the next day, full of fear when I went to bed.
And I know that millions of people suffer from the same problems, whether it’s for a specific reason, or because they just built up generalized anxiety disorder, through what has happened in their lives. People can be crippled by anxiety, and I found kratom helped.
Basically, I found kratom for anxiety really helped me to get back out there, and get on with my life. But why can kratom help you with the pain of anxiety?
It’s all about calming you down and chilling you out. You don’t want a strong white kratom, because that can be like drinking tons of caffeine, it can really make you euphoric, but you can also increase your anxiety if you have it.
But a really good quality Green kratom, like Green Malay, or the wonderful Red Indo, at a moderate dose, can chill you out. Kratom has an amazing ability to make your troubles melt away, give you confidence, and also increase your energy and focus.
So it’s perfect for calming anxiety fears, and replacing it with energy and enthusiasm, that will let you get out and do your life the way you want.
Having said that, the strain works for you will be a personal thing. Trial and error will be crucial.
That’s why I would suggest that if you don’t know much about kratom, you get your hands on a couple of high-quality kratom variety packs. I’d suggest a green variety pack, and red variety pack, as these are the strains that will really help with calming you down, and giving you energy and confidence.
My Top Strains For Anxiety?
The alkaloid in kratom that is linked most strongly to pain relief, sedation, and relaxation, is 7-hydroxymitragynine. So it makes sense that your search for the best kratom for anxiety will result in settling on a strain of kratom that is high in this alkaloid.
Well, that was my theory after researching, and it paid off. Anxiety is a bitch, and it’s difficult to explain to people. It can cripple you and make you unsociable in a way that just makes it seem like you don’t want to be around people. But I found that kratom rescued me from that hell.
Again, it’s a personal journey, and if you’re in doubt, I would recommend getting your hands on a high-quality variety pack of kratom. Specifically red, and green kratom packs. But to help you on your way, I’ll mention the three strains of kratom I found were individually the best for me.
- Red Or Green Malay
I found that a moderate dose of Red Malay really helped to curb my anxiety. It has a calming effect, in the way most reds does, but it also improves mood, and as your dose increases, it can produce mild euphoria, perfect for dragging you out of your emotional pit.
Green Malay is similar, but even more uplifting. I would tread with caution, and try red first. But if you’re finding you need a bit more of a lift, a bit more energy, with less sedation, then Green could be the way to go, as long as it doesn’t give you the jitters.
- Red Or Green Borneo
Borneo kratom is another one I found was good for anxiety. At a low dose, Red Borneo has that traditional red effect, it’s sedating, it will chill you out, but it will retain your focus and give you energy. But as with red generally, anything more than a small dose, and you might struggle at work, for example.
Green Borneo might be a better choice during the day, or even on a night out if you need to get rid of the anxiety and boost your confidence.
Some people even use a small dose of white Borneo, because it retains the ability to chill you out and focus you because it induces more positivity and euphoria, but if your anxiety is really bad, I would suggest you don’t start with White Borneo, it won’t be the best kratom for anxiety, because it’s more about energy and euphoria, and less about calmness.
-
Red Indo
Red Indo is very good for anxiety. It’s not as stimulating as some other red kratom at lower doses, but it does have very good calming effects. It also retains a strong energizing effect, and alongside that calmness, it’s really good, but not the strongest.
Getting The Right Dosage Is Crucial
Kratom is a deeply personal thing, and trying to explain to you the best kratom for pain and anxiety dose, is going to be really tough. For a start, it depends on the strain. As I said, I’ve been using Maeng Da kratom for pain management, with great results. It’s very potent, and I only get pure powder, which is rare.
So it also depends on the purity of the kratom you are getting. You won’t get the best kratom for pain management unless it’s pure. You don’t want the rubbish some sellers have, where it’s cut with other herbs when it’s powdered and imported.
All I can do here is give general guidelines to you because your pain management with kratom will be personal, as will your symptoms. It’s the same with anxiety, everyone’s different from the anxiety they suffer, and the situations they suffer from anxiety in.
So, as a bracket set of recommendations in terms of using kratom for pain and anxiety, I would suggest the following:
- Beginner dose of 2-3 grams
- A moderate dose of 3-4 grams
- Full spectrum effect dose of 5-6 grams
- A strong dose of 7-8 grams
- Overwhelming 8+ grams
You don’t want to just go in with a strong dose of kratom, because it could stop you functioning during the day, or at night. If you’re not sure about the effects, then you don’t know what’s best for you.
So I would always suggest that if you are using kratom for pain and anxiety management, that you start with a beginner dose, a couple of grams at most. If it has no effect, move up another gram the next time you try it.
The idea is to find the sweet spot, where the effects will be full-spectrum, meaning analgesia, calmness, but with the maintenance, or enhancement, of energy, enthusiasm, and happiness, but with it being manageable.
Watch Out For The Unwanted Side Effects
Now look, I know I’m singing the praises of using kratom. But you won’t get the desired effects if you are suffering from side effects.
They aren’t usual, especially at a moderate dose, but it is possible to suffer a range of mild side-effects from using kratom for any purpose:
- Jitters/wobbles (particularly the case with large doses of white kratom)
- Nausea
- Poor sleep (again, usually with large doses)
- Dry mouth
- Itching
However, I’ve only experienced one or two of those at a moderate level, even with fairly strong doses of red kratom that I’ve used for both pain and anxiety.
I want to mention the single most damaging thing if you start experimenting with kratom. Tolerance.
If you take kratom daily, especially in larger doses, five grams, or more usually, you will start to build up a tolerance over a few months. A bit like with alcohol, the more you drink, the more used to it you will get.
Tolerance means you’ll have to take increasing amounts of kratom, meaning increasing effects, increasing tolerance, and increasing cost. This can lead to dependency. So in terms of kratom side effects, I would strongly suggest you don’t use it every day. Use it only as needed, and then in the most moderate dose, you can get away with it.
Best Places To Buy Kratom Online
So there you go, I hope this quick guide to the kratom for treating pain and anxiety has helped you. As I’ve said, I’ve been using Maeng Da kratom for pain relief with great success, but you might be different.
Actually, the biggest problem I found was getting pure kratom from a reputable seller. It took me a couple of years to narrow down three companies who consistently deliver the following:
- Pure kratom that’s not been cut with herbs of any other type
- Kratom that’s imported directly from Asia
- Kratom that’s lab tested for purity and quality
- Kratom that guaranteed quality when you buy it
- Fresh kratom always in stock, due to high turnover
- Organic and sustainable kratom
- Full range of kratom in powder, capsule and variety pack available
- Great customer service levels with knowledge and enthusiasm
- Free shipping for domestic USA customers
So here are my top three sellers of kratom which I found to be the best for my needs:
These guys have become the Nb1 kratom vendor that I regularly buy kratom from. The reason I go to these guys so regularly is their kratom is always fresh and they sell kratom in capsules. Kratom capsules are brilliant, and definitely great kratom for managing pain and anxiety.
They are great because you don’t have to taste the kratom or deal with loose powder. On top of that, you know you are getting an exact dose per capsule, there’s nothing to measure out. Plus they are convenient. You’re not dropping out with this kratom, you’re taking just enough, as you need it, to help with pain management or anxiety. Capsules are great for taking during the day.
TheEvergreentree sells Red Vein Indo capsules which are all amazing for treating chronic pain.
They also sell Green Indo and green Malay in capsule form, which again, are the strains I found to be the best kratom for anxiety management as well. It’s brilliant, you just pop a couple of capsules when you are heading towards a situation that is causing anxiety, and within about half an hour, you’ll feel so much more ready to deal with it.
On top of all that, Evergreentree does variety packs, both loose powder, and capsules, which is perfect if you are just starting to experiment with using kratom for pain or anxiety management.
-
Coastline kratom
One of the best established and experienced kratom sellers in the USA, they offer just pure kratom powder. No pills, no other types of alternative medicine, nothing apart from their specialty and expertise: importing great quality kratom.
I always buy my loose Maeng Da kratom from them. They do standard powder, which has been brilliant for me, and it’s my top recommendation for treating pain and anxiety.
But better than that, they also do Ultra enhanced Red Maeng Da Kratom. This is a great quality kratom that’s been infused with even more alkaloids, making it stronger in its effects. So you don’t need such a strong dose, and if you’re really suffering from pain, it can really get you feeling better quickly.
Coastline does beginner variety packs as well. Not as comprehensive as the other two companies I’m going to mention in a moment, but if you’re looking to get started, not only do they sell possibly the best kratom powder in the USA, but you can also get it in smaller quantities in variety packs. UPDATE: Unfortunately Coastline Kratom has been ceased operation!
Another of the best places to get hold of kratom that can deal with pain and anxiety throughout the day is Tropic Health Club. The name may sound a bit odd, but don’t let that put you off, what you’re getting is really strong green and red kratom capsules.
Whether you are dosing for pain or anxiety, both of these will work. Red will obviously be better for anxiety, and I’ve used the red kratom capsules from Tropic Health Club myself. Just a couple during the day, every 4-6 hours, can really take the edge off anxiety and keep me focused and in control.
I can’t emphasize enough that if you’re looking to dose kratom for pain and anxiety that capsules are the way to go. Rather than taking a large dose, you’re really looking at dosing through the day, and capsules are ideal for that. Tropic Health Club ones are very potent, rich, and definitely some of the best kratom you will find.
This company also sells fantastic quality, pure kratom powder in all the major strains. But on top of that, if you’re starting out, they also do some of the most comprehensive variety packs I’ve ever seen from a kratom retailer.
They do a red variety pack that contains six strains of kratom. Unfortunately for me, it doesn’t include Red Maeng Da, and as a said, I’m using Maeng Da kratom for pain with great success.
But in terms of getting acquainted with red kratom and experimenting with it for pain and anxiety, it’s a brilliant starting point. They also do a green variety pack, which includes Green Malay, so that’s a bonus as well.
Final Words….Experiment, Experiment!
So look, I really hope you’ll benefit from using kratom for pain and anxiety management as I have.
Kratom is a very personal thing, as I’m sure you will learn when you start your journey. The way to go is variety packs if you’re not sure, simply because you get good value for money, and you don’t have huge bags of kratom sitting around that you never use.
Plus, I would suggest if you’re really anxious about using kratom, you start with capsules. You don’t have to taste it, you can really closely regulate the dose, and they are convenient. You pay a little more, but the benefits are substantial.
My final word is to start small and work up. Use a small dose, a couple of grams, and have more days per week off kratom, then using it.
If you follow the simple rules, and get the pure kratom powder I have, by choosing kratom vendor from the list above, then you’ll find the best kratom for your needs, and the relief they bring, are only a few days away.
KRATOM FAQ
Does kratom get you high?
Yes, kratom can get you high. You will need a strong dose of good quality, pure kratom to get high. If it’s white kratom it will be a highly energized, out-of-control, euphoric high. If it’s red kratom, then it will feel like an opiate high, warm, fuzzy, completely dropping out, not a care in the world.
But a kratom high will not match that of narcotics like heroin or cocaine. Your expectations should be slightly lowered, otherwise, you will be taking huge doses of kratom, trying to achieve a high that simply isn’t possible.
What is the best kratom for opiate withdrawal?
The best kratom for opiate withdrawal symptoms is a red kratom. It interacts with the opioid receptors in the body in the same way as opiates do, but not in the same addictive manner.
In terms of specific red kratom, pretty much any will give you good pain relief at medium dose, lighten your mood, lift your energy levels, and keep you feeling very calm. Red kratom generally is perfect for dealing with opiate withdrawal symptoms.
How long for kratom to kick in?
How long it takes the kratom to kick in will depend on the quality of the kratom, how much you take, and very importantly, whether your stomach is empty, or not.
On an empty stomach, kratom should really start to kick in within 30 minutes, with full effects felt after an hour, at most. This is the best way to take kratom, because it will all get processed at the same time, giving you the fullest effects.
If you have a full stomach, it can take up to an hour for the effects to start kicking in, plus, very importantly, it will not all kick in at once, meaning you won’t get the same pure kratom experience.
Can you overdose on kratom?
There is no evidence that you can overdose on kratom. Anecdotally, some people have reported overdosing on kratom. But what is not clear, is how much they took, or what else was taken that could have actually caused the overdose.
A very high dose of kratom, above 10 g, tends to knock somebody out quite quickly, and thoroughly. It’s very difficult for them to take a huge dose of kratom because of this.
But in terms of its potential to be fatal, there is no evidence that anyone has ever died from a pure kratom overdose.
Is kratom bad for you?
Regular use of kratom at sensible levels is not bad for you. However, sensible levels is the key here. If you are taking kratom regularly at large doses, then kratom can be bad for you.
High doses of kratom several times a week, we are talking 10 grams or more each time, can in some people, over a prolonged time of several years, create problems in the liver and kidneys. If this is allowed to continue, it can lead to kidney and liver damage.
So the key here is moderation. Use as little kratom as you can, and have more days a week not using kratom than using it.
How to take kratom?
There are several ways to take kratom. You can toss and wash, where you throw the powder to the back of your throat and then drink lots of water. You can wrap it in something, you can use capsules, or you can mix in a drink.
If mixing in a drink, then something thick like fruit juice, or milkshake, is good because it takes away the powdery taste.
Which type of kratom is most like an opiate?
Red kratom is almost like an opiate. If you want an opiate-like high, or pain relief and sedation, then red kratom is definitely what you should be looking at. Especially one of the more intense reds like Maeng Da or Red Borneo.
Some green kratom, like Green Malay, can also give you a very opiate-like experience, but with higher energy, and not as intense as red.
Which kratom is best for pain?
The best kratom for pain is red kratom. Some green kratom is also good, but it’s mostly red kratom that has a strong analgesic effect, even at a moderate dose.
White kratom is not suitable, and most greens don’t have enough painkilling benefits. But all red kratom is very good at numbing effects of pain and giving you positivity, so that pain is less of a problem.
How to make kratom stronger?
Making kratom stronger involves using potentiators. Hot water, lemon juice, green tea, valerian root, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and magnesium are all widely used potentiators of kratom, in an attempt to make the hit stronger. Remember though, unless it’s pure kratom of good quality, then you will never get it to the strong as it should be.
How long does it take for kratom to get out of your system?
There is not much research in this area, but some preliminary findings put the half-life of kratom as low as seven hours, which would mean kratom would be out of your system in as little as 1 1/2 days. However, some other studies suggest a longer half-life, which could mean kratom can be in your system for up to a week.
How long does it take to get addicted to kratom?
Unfortunately, that question is like asking “How long is a piece of string?”. Some people can get addicted emotionally to kratom quickly, others never get addicted at all.
The majority of people don’t get addicted to kratom, because it has low addiction potential. As long as you use it sensibly, and don’t use it every day, then it possible to not ever get addicted to kratom.
How long to wait between kratom doses?
It’s always best to leave at least a day between kratom doses. However, some people take smaller doses through the day, 4-6 hours apart, to keep them feeling energized, and relaxed.
But regular daily use is not ideal, especially at higher doses. In terms of how long to wait between kratom doses, it’s always recommended that you have more days per week not taking kratom, than taking it.
Is kratom safe to take every day?
At a low dose, less than 5 g, it is possible to take kratom every day without any negative side-effects. You may experience growing tolerance, and if you have other health problems, then long-term daily use, even a moderate level, can affect the liver several years on.
Kratom is not safe to take every day at higher doses, and you should always leave a day, preferably two days, between taking doses of kratom.
