Companion Life Insurance Co. has expanded flexibility in its Dental by Design product, adding options that include a retiree dental benefit, an increasing maximum annual benefit, an incentive plan, and a new rate tier that matches most medical plan tiers.
Dental by Design is Companion Life’s true group dental product for groups of 10 or more employees. Employers can customize any standard Dental by Design plan, and employees are free to choose their own dentist with no network restrictions.
The retiree option allows retiring workers to continue their benefits and be billed at home, as long as the employer continues its group dental plan. Employers offering a Dental by Design plan may select either two or three increases of $250 per year to their employees’ annual dental maximum benefit, increasing the maximum benefit up to $2,500.
