‘You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers.’

Outlook 2010
With a nod to RadioShack for the headline, we hope the magazine that you’re holding in your hands (or viewing on an electronic screen) will become your health care, benefits, and compensation guidebook for 2010.

We’ve compiled an impressive list of industry leaders to give their insights on trends they see in the coming year. And it has not been an easy task. The lingering effects of a recession and the real possibility of health care reform both weigh heavily on corporate America. While economic indicators definitely are improving, they’re not climbing straight up the mountain of growth we all are hoping for. Look at the overall year ahead.

“Traditional” health insurance certainly doesn’t mean what it did just a few years ago. Companies of all sizes are struggling to keep annual premium increases moderate—much less worrying about actually saving money. But a new push toward health care consumerism, where employees are actively engaged in managing chronic conditions and participating in wellness programs, could reverse that trend. Learn more from Janet Trautwein, CEO of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

You’ll also find a baker’s dozen of additional Outlook articles on such topics as professional and career development, benefits and compensation, medical travel, and integrated care.

We hope you enjoy reading and learning from these experts as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing them to you.

Sincerely,
