The number of people in the United States traveling overseas for health care is rising steadily, climbing to between
600,000 and 1 million last year, according to estimates. Patients are exploring overseas options for non-emergent but
medically necessary surgeries such as heart valve replacement, angioplasty, hip and knee replacement, hysterectomy and others.
