At the beginning of the year I asked coaches in the Wellcoaches community to submit a list of 10 ways in which they want to thrive in 2009. Diane is dealing with some challenging health issues and asked me for a series of coaching sessions designed to improve her health and life satisfaction. After our first session, Diane sent the following response:
[Note that Diane's first session occurred in 2009.]
Coach Meg,
You are awesome! Many thanks for our session today. I've come to think of coaching as a creative mix of psychology, science, and art. You are certainly a skilled artist! I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to process, synthesize and summarize my comments (and meanderings) so quickly and so well. As we discussed, here is my “A Letter,” written from the perspective of April 2010.
Success ~ Service ~ Synchronicity
April 15, 2010
I am passionate about my new vocational path as a certified Wellcoach. Assisting others to achieve greater health and well-being is fulfilling, rewarding, and energizing. I am exploring ways to incorporate the connection between spirituality, happiness, and health in my coaching practice. I intentionally utilize my coaching skills to create meaningful, powerful, and positive communication in daily life. I advocate for the advancement of wellness coaching for individuals struggling with autoimmune conditions, chronic pain and chronic fatigue (e.g. Sjogrens Syndrome, lupus, scleroderma, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, immune dysfunction syndrome).
My life is filled with synchronicity and I’m firmly on the right personal healing path for greater health, energy and vitality. I have the energy, intuition, and resources to support my dog, Marley’s, aging health needs. Thanks to finding the right methods and practitioners to assist and guide me, I have greater physical strength, flexibility, stamina, and less brain fog. I have the discipline needed to stay on a customized diet that is fully supportive of my health needs. I get restorative sleep, and have sufficient energy to comfortably accomplish activities of daily living.
All gifts in the healing realm have enabled me to regain functional capacity in part-time work. I have a steady and sufficient income stream that allows me to live comfortably in Portland or anywhere of my choosing. I have enough energy and resources for travel, including to visit family and friends. My decisions and activities are in alignment with my authentic self and divine life mission. I am accepting of, and grateful for, all of life’s challenges and blessings.
